BEAVERCREEK — Two people were injured after the ceiling collapsed at a VFW post in Beavercreek Wednesday.

Crews were called to VFW Post 8312 on Dayton Xenia Road around 5 p.m. to reports of part of the ceiling collapsing, according to Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Glass Wool Felt

Two people were taken to the hospital, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

A spokesperson for the VFW post said that a corner of the drop ceiling over the bar collapsed, injuring a veteran and their family member sitting at the bar.

Information about their condition was not available.

What caused the ceiling to come down is not known at this time,

The VFW posted on its social media that the building is closed until further notice and the spokesperson said it expects this to be the case for “a little while.”
